[Publib] children of staff

This is something that we have struggled with in our library. I don't
mind staff having kids come in after school so long as the children can
behave and occupy themselves. When it became an issue of the children
needing attention from the parent is when I became aggravated. I have
had to remind a few staff members that while they are on the clock they
are to be working for the library, not taking care of their children.
This of course caused a few ruffled feathers, but I haven't had anyone
quit over it. I understand that it is hard to work and have children at
the same time, but I look at it this way, if you worked in a hospital
you wouldn't be allowed to take your children to work with you.... why
should you be allowed to at the library? Thankfully I recently took on a
different position in the library and no longer have to supervise staff
(or worry about the presence of their children).
