Large and small library systems can benefit from systems that reduce energy
use.
There are many programs that will loan funds to reinsulate, change out
ballasts,
and bulbs.  The low interest loans can be paid out over time, while the
immediate
operating costs are reduced.

Since it is a capital expense, it can also create a
fund raising opportunity that people will get behind - a long
term investment that
is environmentally responsible and cuts operating expenses without
diminishing services to the public. Win / Win
