Here's one hot off the press.  I had written via email for some  statistics 
from the Massachusetts Department of Labor and Workforce  Development.  The 
response:
 
"We do not handle these issues."
 
How you like them apples?  This was not a librarian, but an  "information 
source" in the agency.  No further assistance or reference to  another agency or 
person.  Maybe she didn't get what she wanted for  Christmas?  This person 
added her name and number.  I think I'll  call.  More later.
