That reminds me of a "Zits" comic that appeared some time ago.  Walt (the dad) commented to Connie (the mom) that he couldn't make any sense of the audiobook at all.  It kept skipping around.  Then Jeremy walked by and made a comment about setting the iPod to shuffle.

Yeah, the shuffle isn't really designed for audiobooks.  It's whole purpose is to simply "shuffle,' heh.  It is a pain to make it not do so.
