How about Michael Pollan's Second Nature? It's an early book by him,
about his education as a gardener, and one that's on the American
Horticultural Society's list of all-time best gardening books, and
Pollan is very hot these days . . .

Do not judge beliefs by their plausibility, but by the harm they may do.

Subject: [Publib] One Book with Gardening tie-in?

Could I impose upon your creative minds to suggest ideas for a "One
Book" program with a gardening tie-in for us to use this spring?

This will be our first attempt at a One Book program in our county. We
are planning a big community outreach around a gardening theme,
including cooperation with our extension service to build a children's
garden on site. We will probably use The Secret Garden as our One Book
for children, then show the movie at the end of the program.

Your suggestions would be most appreciated!

Thank you,
