[Publib] best reference question EVER!! Lol

That reminds me of another one. Picture it: I'm sitting at the reference
desk, under a big sign that says "Reference/Information." A woman comes
to the desk and says, "What's your job?"

"Uh... I'm a reference librarian," I said. 

Gesturing toward the rest of the library, she said, "Here?"

 

You have to wonder what goes through people's minds.

     I was working behind a service desk typing my behind off trying to
make some progress with a spreedsheet I continuosly plug information
into, a patron walks by several times, then finally comes back to the
desk I was working at and said "Do you work here?"  Unfortunately, that
has happened more than once.
