I had the dead snake in a jar that a patron killed after finding it climbing the wall of her garage. This query was at my first job in Pelham, AL. I already knew snakes could climb trees so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised that they could climb walls too.

I had a young man in a month or so ago who had a large box. He came
up and set it on my desk and removed the top, saying, "Miss Lorie,
look what I'm doing for science class! Can you help?" Inside was a
board with MANY large and varied bugs pinned and some identified.

Ick.
