I put out a request the other day for a comparison of e-readers. I am
thinking of getting a Kindle and now that I know how versatile it seems to
be, I may just take the plunge. Why, as a librarian who loves books, do I
want an ebook reader.

Well, I think it's going to be cheaper in the long run than re-inforcing the
floors of our house. (I am at maximum load level now.) I can buy a lot more
books. I can focus on true-to-life books for my needlework collection.
When I travel during the summer, I won't have to have a separate bag for
books that I have to shuttle around. I will only have to remember to pack
my Kindle to make sure I have my current book(s) with me. My husband won't
have to know just how many books I've bought.

I think I've just talked myself into taking the plunge!
