Had to add to this one

 

One time I was informed that the patron's previous library purchased one
copy of each bestseller for each patron who requested a bestseller.   In
fact, she continued with outrage, she was CERTAIN that it was a state law.
(oh, wouldn't that help with funding levels - J)
