The Everett Public Library, committed to forging and maintaining strong
partnerships with its community, seeks to hire a Librarian I who will
contribute to that effort & be an enthusiastic part of its strong team.
This position will have an emphasis in Adult Services, providing service
to the public in a traditional reference setting and using the best
technologies to do so. This position's responsibilities can also include
collection development and the planning and presentation of public
programs and classes. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and
able to provide services to all ages and demographics served by EPL.
Prior experience welcome, but not required.

We are looking for someone with the ability to communicate effectively
in person, on the telephone, and in writing. The successful candidate
must be willing to work a varied schedule that includes evenings,
weekends, and reference desk time at both the Main Library and the
Evergreen Branch. An ALA accredited MLS is required. AFSCME Union
membership is also required for this position within 30 days of
