Subject: [Publib] Contemporary Authors and DVD security

I have two questions for the collection brain. I work in a little city
in southwest Virginia, near two university libraries.

One, we are seriously considering weeding our Contemporary Authors in
print version. We have the New Revision series 1-106, the first version
1-100 and v. 103-197. We stopped getting additions several years ago,
and it seems like it would get better use somewhere else. I would be
happy to hear any nay sayers who think we should hang on them in print.
We don't want to place them in the book sale. Does anyone have
suggestions about what libraries would be happy to get them?

Also, we have noticed an increase in the theft of our dvds and cds. We
have no security to speak of and are considering those little plastic
contraptions that seal the case. Can someone point me in the direction
of a good vendor?

Thank you!
