[Publib] Reference Question

Dear Collective Brain,

 

Did you ever get a reference question so obscure you just want to scream WHY?   I have a patron who wants to find out if the plane his father-in-law piloted in 1930 is still alive. (Not the father-in-law, the plane) I have a copy of his airplane license with all the particulars about the aircraft. Does anyone out there know if someone keeps track of these things? The Association for Old and Forgotten Aircraft maybe??
