Hello all. I'm pretty new to library studies (I'm actually working on my MLS and have minimal experience) and I've always wondered about how libraries deal with children in libraries. As I read, a lot of libraries seem to have rules about behavior but how strictly are these rules enforced? Can a patron be asked to leave for breaking policy or is it more that the behavior is continuously talked to? I'm just curious for curiosity's sake; it had been a rather actively discussed topic in an introductory course I took last semester. Some of my classmates who currently work in libraries seemed to argue the point back and forth and I was looking for some other perspectives.
Thanks for the input,
Mara Bertini
