Earlier this year, the music CD collection was transferred to Popular
Library Division from the Music Division. (The classical music CDs
remain with the Music Division)
The music CDs are arranged in Dewey order with signs identifying the
genre in the bins. This cataloging system was in place long before I
arrived. Each of the free standing six bins has three drawers; the
bottom two have to be pulled out. Latin music/artists are noted on the
labels.
Even with the signs, it can be time consuming for the patrons go through
looking for a particular CD.
