We have found that a $2.50 coloring book, torn into individual pages, and a box of crayons is a good first approach.

We have a little gilded frame in the children's department which encloses a sign (with a flower) which says "Unattended children will be given an espresso and a free puppy."  I'm told that some kids have wanted to see the puppies!
