Hi George,
What kind of policies do you have in your library? Also too, has your library discussed the use of parental controls and firewalls? Are said policies in written form and posted by the computer stations?

Internet users don’t seem to pay much attention to these policies. We’ve had parents get really upset when we politely ask them to pay a little more attention to their children.

Does anybody have a policy that deals with internet users who bring their children with them to the library?

We're seeing that, typically, the adult unrealistically expects the child (anywhere from infant to several years old) to sit silently next to them while they use the computer for 1-2 hrs, OR they allow the somewhat older child to roam around the library space.

    Any input would be appreciated.
