[Publib] Inventorying with card shelf lists

Dear Colleagues,

I am creating a module teaching how to inventory with a card shelf list 
and an automated catalog shelf list.

In an effort to use already created wheels I am looking for explanations 
of how inventory with card shelf lists.

I am going through Library Literature and no articles look really promising.

Can anyone email me written instructions for inventorying with card 
shelf lists?
