Hillary,
1. I understand Spanish better than I speak it. Ditto for French.
2. My staff is fluent in Spanish. We're in deep South Texas (9 miles from the border with Mexico) and the language is referred to as "Tex-Mex." One staff, however, is from Monterrey, and speaks a Spanish unadulterated by English.
3. Yes, we have a collection of around 12,00 Spanish language materials (fiction, non-fiction, videos, DVDs, reference, children's, YA, graphic novels) that is growing continually.

Hey,
So, for my class, and also something of interest to me...
Anyone wanna answer the following?
1. Do you speak more than one language? Which ones?
2. Do you use languages other than English at your library?
3. Do you maintain a collection of books that aren't in English?
Thanks!
Hillary
