Minimum salary:  $47,990 + excellent benefits


Performs professional librarian work to meet the needs of patrons where duties include providing general reference and reader's advisory services; assisting and training in the use of on-line internet resources and basic computer applications; coordinating business, personal finance, and other reference programs; evaluating and maintaining a collection that promotes business, finance, and related non-fiction materials; and assigning work to volunteers and interns. Requires a Master's in Library Science from an accredited institution of Library Science. Professional librarian experience in a public library preferred. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft computer software applications. Experience specific computer software applications must be noted in the appropriate area of the application. Hours: 8AM-5PM weekdays; evening and weekend rotation required; must be available during emergency situations.   *Pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check required. 

Position is an entry level Librarian with New Hanover County Public Library in Wilmington, NC .  New Hanover County is approximately 1 ½ hour north of Myrtle Beach, SC and 2 hours southeast of Raleigh .  Apply thru New Hanover County Human Resources Department, online application available.
