In his new book, Renewing Professional Librarianship: a fundamental
rethinking, Dr. Bill Crowley says that academic, public, and school
librarians are suffering the effects of devaluation and the remedy is to
look beyond our information-centric focus and embrace a concept called
lifecycle librarianship.

This is the 150th edition of the program. Almost two years after its debut,
no other library news source does anything even close to the real,
professionally-produced newscast LibVibe is. When it was initially proposed
to editors of both American Libraries and Library Journal, their response
was to ignore me...so I did it myself. Like being a librarian, it is work I
am very proud of.
