[Publib] Public computer classes

Sean,
We've offered computer classes for about 5 years now. We take feedback
from our patrons to determine what classes will be offered. The feedback
is given by patrons taking the classes as well as by questions asked at
our ref desk. For instance, we're getting ready to offer a class on
online job searching based on the number of patrons the ref staff has
been assisting with this topic.
We used to have staff teach the class but now we have two teachers that
we hire on a contract basis, the same as any of our other programs.

Subject: [Publib] Public computer classes
I'm looking for some collective wisdom on offering public computer
classes at public libraries: purposes in offering classes, methods of
determining what classes are taught and determining who teaches the
classes.
