If you haven't already done so, call ALA's Office for Intellectual Freedom.
IMO, challenges to materials are usually by people who think they (the materials) will corrupt young, impressionable children.

Subject: [Publib] adult level challenged books
Has anyone made a list of the adult/high school reading level challenged books? I've got the ALA 100 Most Challenged books list, but most are for children or grade school/middle school age readers. I'm working on a display for adult/high school readers for Banned Book Week.
Currently I'm going through the ALA list & marking the ones that I know are adult reading level but I'm afraid I may miss one or two due to unfamiliarity with the title.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
