Greetings Joe,

I guess that the discussion just reached the
point of Godwin's Law <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin's_law> . It
seemed to get there
fairly quickly. With so many of your fellow
librarians outraged, incensed, and appalled -
it makes as just about as much sense to compare
being 'hip and cool' to being a Nazi.

My own threshold for being outraged or appalled
does not include mud flaps or bumper stickers.
If a Nazi whacked me on the head with a mud
flap though, I would get a bit riled up.

By this line of reasoning I could not be
allowed to pass judgment on Nazism
because I don't consider myself to be
a Nazi.

Joe S.
STILL proudly unhip and uncool
