I'm a middle-aged female with a master's degree, and when I saw "Mudflap Girl", the irony made me smile and think kindly about the Wyoming Library.  If that's what happens when most people see it, how can that be a bad thing?  It's eye catching and smart.  I  think the idea of using it in auto parts stores to publicize the Chilton's database is pure genius.  I know that in my library, there are many adult men for whom the library has no value until they need a Chilton's manual, and they come in to get the manual and a library card.  This means that in my local auto parts store, there are probably other potential library-card holders who have need of my databases.  Again, how can this be a bad thing?
