Greetings,

I second Sue Kamm's praise of WorldCat <http://worldcat.org/search> . OCLC
seems to

have been succesfully integrating intelligent solutions with

their product designs. I recently compared
<http://firstsearch.oclc.org/WebZ/FSLogin?sessionid=0&autho=100270033&passwo
rd=mnguest> MERLN to the

previous interfaces available for military library research and

found it to be exquisite.

Sincerely -

1.	Does the library own this book? If so, is it suppsed to be on the
shelf? If it's not on the shelf, where is it? Can I put a reserve on it?
2.	If the library doesn't own the book (and I need it immediately, if
not sooner), is there any other library nearby where I might find it?
(Blesings on WorldCat for making their system open and free of cost to
libraryland.) By using Worldcat, it saves time and energy looking up the
catalogs from the two big library systems near us.

If it doesn't jibe with Ranganathan's Fourth Law of Library Service - "Save
the time of the reader - what good is it?
