Tom,
We've done Food for Fines. We've collected for the military and even for
an animal shelter. The animal shelter was fun because we collected
everything in a bog dog cage, located next to the circ desk.
We also do one item= $1 or part thereof. We do not allow old fines over
$20 to be waived and it can only be used towards fines. We've found out
patrons to be very generous.

Subject: [Publib] food for fines
Could any who have done "food for fines" give me the benefit of their
experience? How do you translate food items into fine forgiveness and
any other logistical problems that you have noted. thanks Tom Smith
