Good for you, Judy! I was inspired and did the same. Here's what I wrote:
I just saw your Ford Edge commercial, directed by David Mamet. In it, one driver tells another that the car's ride is "library quiet." This metaphor is no longer valid. To prove this, I invite you to come to my public library any weekday afternoon, between 3:20 and 5:00 P.M. That is the time that middle schoolers from across the street pay us a visit. Greetings and affectionate insults are exchanged and homework assignments are completed collaboratively (as per their directions). During the visit, you might also hear various adults on their cell phones, or hear a cluster of young mothers playing with their toddlers in the open play area and engaging in pleasant conversation. These patrons are not noisy because they are rude. It's rather that the library has become more of a community resource, and less of a quiet place of study. Mr. Mamet, please consider editing the script. Does "whisper quiet" work for you?

I saw the same commercial and almost choked! I sent them an e-mail and invited them to my library.
