According to the AP, firefighters were working to save the Ronald Reagan  
Presidential Library in Simi Valley.  Doubtless there are other libraries  in the 
midst of the fires, especially residential branches in hilly suburban  areas. 
 The County of Los Angeles Public Library has issued a press  release:
