[Publib] Any Kansas City librarians out there?

Hello-
   
  I'm currently a librarian in New Orleans, but my fiancee and I will be moving to the KC area at the beginning of the year. I was hoping to chat with some fellow librarians in the area about what the city/surroundings/job market/food! is like.
   
  Of course, I've been doing quite a bit of online researching, but nothing beats personal experience, I think. I would really appreciate any words of wisdom, restaurant suggestions, etc about the city.
