[Publib] "legal age" question

     Chiming in a little late here--many years ago I was the director of a
public library so small that not only was I the only MLS on staff--I was the
only adult!  Our clerk was an extremely responsible high school work-study
student.  We also had a full complement of high school pages.  There
certainly were times the library was open when I wasn't there!
      Of course, times change and communities change...   Do your young
people feel safe and secure in managing the library on their own?  Perhaps
that is of more concern than their actual age.  It does seem that legally
you are covered with on over 18-year-old on hand.
