LaDonna is correct. According to this article in the New York Times, the
endowment is over $22 billion:  http://tinyurl.com/yrd46e

The threat of withholding grants, however, is a double
edged sword.  The reason why Yale receives so many grants
is because it is a world class research facility with some
of the brightest minds available. Withholding Federal funds
would mean that they would not be working for us to solve
problems and innovate.

They are probably one of the most well endowed universities in the
country but even Yale isn't willing to give up 350 million.
