We were one of the recipients of the letter also * only a couple weeks after our initial subscription began.  In conjunction with the roll-out, we had solicited and received grant money for PR.   Since both the subscription and the PR funding came from local grants, notice of cancellation so soon after the product announcement has hurt our credibility with the donors who had agreed to fund the subscription for multiple years.  

The good news is that Rosetta Stone is honoring our one-year contract, so we have a bit more time to find an alternative.  

What other on-line language  products are your libraries looking at?

We also received this letter.  In early September we were informed that
when our contract expired we could no longer purchase access to all the
languages.  On September 25, we agreed with Rosetta Stone to decrease
our subscription to 5 languages.

On Friday, September 28, we received this letter as well, dated
September 21, informing us that they would not be providing access to
public libraries.  

Our contract expired September 30th.

Needless to say, we are less than thrilled.
