The complaining parent seriously needs to get a life.


 


Admittedly, the only time I ever saw an amateur performance
of this number was not in a library, but at an occasion which would have given
any mother the vapors, believe me.


I understand that popularity, or the lack of it, in
middle/high school is a serious issue, but reading between the lines of your
message, there seem to be some local and personal issues in play. The earlier respondents have covered that situation perfectly well.



 


Btw, the adult reading group at my library greatly enjoyed
the book “Wicked” by Gregory Maguire, the work on which the musical is based.
It has circulated extremely well here outside Austin,
as has the original cast recording CD.
