Freecycle is really good for getting rid of stuff. The one in my community even has give aways every couple of months at the library. Also a way to get books.

If anyone ever has anything they would like to give away for free, may I suggest joining a Yahoo group called "Freecycle". Postings are free, online only, and you might just make your community happy. I joined months ago-money is never exchanged (although someone did try to bribe me with chocolate chip cookies for the Legos I was giving away-LOL), you can pick and choose the taker, and feel better about yourself because you're recycling (posts could be anything-from used clothes, new furniture, never used craft supplies, books, etc.) You never even have to meet the person you're giving the stuff away to---just agree on a pick up place and time, and then leave it there for them. Happy recycling! __________________________________________________
