Greetings,

I think you are referencing the action by the Supremes not

to change the decision of the Ninth Circuit Court in:

FAITH CENTER CHURCH EVANGELISTIC MINISTRIES

AND HATTIE HOPKINS,

Petitioners,

v.

FEDERAL D. GLOVER, MARK DESAULNIER, JOHN M.

GIOIA, MILLIE GREENBERG, JOHN W. SWEETEN, ANNE

CAIN, PATTY CHAN, LAURA O'DONAHUE, AND GAYLE

UILKEMA,

The way that this reads to me is that the Library had

the right not to be transformed into an "occasional house of worship"

according to the SF Gate http://tinyurl.com/3x32gy

It seems to me that interpretation of the criteria for

what would constitute "occasional house of worship"

could be very broad. Does that mean when two

people come together in prayer? Could the Pledge

of Allegiance could be considered a group prayer?

Subject: [Publib] Bible study in the library ok?

Everyone-

Tonight we had a group doing Bible study in the library. They were not using
our meeting room, but were doing it at one of the tables. My understanding
is that the Supreme Court recently said certain types of religious
activities are not allowed in public libraries. Does Bible study fall under
this category? Am I wrong and there is no such Supreme Court ruling?
