Classic!!  Reminds me of Joan Frye Williams' point, "Self-Service doesn't
mean No Service."

Subject: [Publib] Craziest thing heard in line at Wal-Mart

Something fun for Friday...

I was in Wal-Mart one night and of course in a hurry. so I decided to take
my two items to a self check-out. There was a gentlemen in front of me who
seemed confident in his checking out. Then suddenly the computer gives him a
problem and he has to call for help. The woman comes over and nicely assists
him. As she is finishing up he says to her "You all need to have someone
over here all the time to help with these things!" To which the worker
responds "Sir, we don't because this is a self check-out."  I had to bite my
tongue to keep from laughing until the gentleman stalked away. 

So what crazy things have you heard in line at Wal-Mart or some other
stores?
