Elizabeth,
Currently we don't charge at all when we print for patrons, up to 10
copies. The Board is reviewing the reference policy next month but I
don't think that will change. Mary

Subject: [Publib] charging for copies made by staff for patrons at
referencedesk
Good morning,
Do you charge the same amount for copies made for patrons by staff? In
other words, if you are answering a patron's reference question and
print out a copy for them at the reference desk, do you 1. charge them?,
2. charge them at a different rate than the cost to print at your public
computers (i.e. if they were doing it themselves)?, 3. not charge them?
or 4. not charge them if the library did not have any print materials on
the subject? Thank you in advance, Elizabeth
