When we remodeled in 1999, we added six study rooms for the public.

Immediately, due to property damage, we realized we needed an age limit.  If patron is under 16, they must have a parent or guardian check the room out for them.  

Our other policies for using the rooms are as follows:

We only take same day reservations -- a patron either signs up in person or we will reserve the room over the phone.

There is a 2 hour limit -- although, they have never all been in use at one time causing us to enforce the time limit.

Since all the rooms are locked when not in use and are located around the edge of the building, we check out the room keys to patrons at the Information (Reference) Desk.  We ask that they give us their library card, driver's license or any other collateral that we know (hope) they will come back to get. 

The rooms have been very well-received and appreciated by our patrons.
