director of the Hedberg Public Library in Janesville, WI.

LIBRARY DIRECTOR - HEDBERG PUBLIC LIBRARY

"Janesville (WI) citizens rank their public library #1 with a 94%
satisfaction rating." And well they should-Hedberg Public Library serves a
diverse population of 61,000+ from a beautiful 63,000 sq. ft. facility,
loans 1.2 M items per year, offers extensive public programming, provides
access to 100 public PCs and just makes its public happy! The staff of 50
FTE spends a $3.6 M budget to get the work done and has support from a
Foundation and active Friends group.

The Library's nine-member Board of Trustees is seeking an energetic and
dynamic team leader with excellent interpersonal skills to promote the
Library's mission within the community. As a member of the City management
team (Council-Manager) the library director will work to improve the high
level of public service and maintain HPL as vibrant community center. For

Requires an MLS (ALA accredited) degree and eight years progressively
responsible professional library experience with a minimum of three in an
administrative capacity; team building, good communication skills, strong
