The updated agenda and registration info for the Association for Rural and Small Libraries (ARSL) 2007 Annual Conference can be found at http://jupiter.clarion.edu/~csrl/great.htm .
Considered the "best little library conference" for rural and small library staff and trustees, this year's conference has an array of challenging, thoughtful, and practical ideas with
presentations (by SIRSI's Stephen Abram, FOLUSA's Sally Reed, Mary Baykan, Barbara Gersh, Rebecca Miller, Lotsee Patterson, and a panel of bookmobile manufacturers), 12 small group breakout sessions on a wide variety of topics, poster sessions, table talks, exhibits, and lots of time for sharing and exchanging ideas - along with the irrepressible humor of Bernie Vavrek.
The conference is a bargain - inexpensive costs for high rate services and content.
There are also exciting developments happening with the Association - new membership benefits (discount for the conference, subscriptions to Rural Libraries and Rural Library Services Newsletter included with membership), future conferences in California and Tennessee, possible regional conferences with state associations, and lots more !
Check out the web site and join in.
