I think it is a great idea to market library programs electronically.

Has anyone implemented ConstantContact or any other electronic
marketing tools for their library?  It seems to me that effective
promotion of the services and idea of libraries somewhat mirrors
political campaigns.  I have looked at single page templates for
electronic newsletters in the past - how could this service of
notification be enhanced to alert and entice patrons to participate
in programs?

Single best outreach tool we've implemented in the last five months was a
listserv for advance notice of library programs, concerts and films. THAT
has been a big hit ..
