Tony -
It is great to read about examples of innovation and growth! Keep
up the good work.

Subject: Re: [Publib] MYSpace
We don't block anything on our public computers, including MySpace.
We're looking at implementing several Web 2.0 services / features including
podcasting, creating a library presence on Fickr, on MySpace, and doing a
mashup on our website using Meebo-me to institute live online reference via
instant messaging.
As for why, well if I may place tongue firmly in cheek....I'm certain that
when the telephone first was introduced, some librarian somewhere was heard
to say "Why would anyone want to ask a question using *that* (pointing to
phone) when they can just come in to the library?" So, as I see it,
technologies come and go, but people asking questions will always remain.
Hope this helps! :-)
