[Publib] Book prices increases

One of my board members would like some statistics comparing book prices to
our materials budget for the past several (ten would be good) years. I know
about Bowker's annual report, and School Library Journal seems to track
prices for YS materials. I find Bowker difficult to use since their average
prices tend to include academic titles and seem inflated for public
libraries. Before I spin my wheels too much longer, do any of you have other
sources for this data, or have you done a similar comparison I could steal?
Cost increases for AV materials would be welcome too, but it is a smaller
portion of our total budget and the formats have changed over the years, so
isn't as meaningful.

Thanks!
