In my opinion, uninteresting, library-related topics trump personal plans
on-list. I agree that the list-serv should be a community as well as a place
to post questions, and I'll add that dissenting opinions -- which should be
librarians' mainstay -- should be considered rationally, not met with
visceral reactions and coy attempts to silence.
