[Publib] CD-ROM collections

suggesting that our library obtain cd-roms was not my brightest idea.

our discs are not in security cases and the small children are free to use them on the little people's computer. consequently the area is littered with empty cases and errant discs. being anal retentive, just seeing this makes me want to climb a tree.

i am endlessly trying to match disc with jewel case.

we still add cd-roms to our collection.

(what is astonishing is the facility these munchkins have with computers. children as young as three years can load, install, and troubleshoot a pc. totally unreal.)

  Hello all,

I'm new to the list and I have a question for those of you with
CD-ROM collections.

Specifically, have any of you decided to discontinue purchasing new
CD-ROMs? If so, why? I'd appreciate any insight into this
collection area. I searched through the PUBLIB archives, and it
seems like it was discussed a lot in the mid-90's, and almost not at
all in the last few years.

Thanks in advance,
