Joe:
I have to say I feel your pain, having spent last Friday (why is it
always Friday?) trying to explain to a patron that our "one person to a
computer" policy didn't apply to a baby on the mother's lap. Apparently
in Colorado all parents have to take turns using the computer with the
other parent holding the baby somewhere else. She didn't seem to have an
answer for the question of what a parent is to do if the other parent is
not there to take the baby. She also wanted to let me know that they
have MANY more computers in the Colorado libraries than we do here and
they don't limit people's time on the computer. You can imagine what I
was thinking at that point!
Thank goodness for the appreciative patrons who occasionally remind me
why I'm still doing this!
