[Publib] re: upstate; was :Thursday (now Friday) humor

As an expatriate upstate New Yorker, (and proud of it,) I would venture
to say that a large part of the state views Upstate New York as starting
at the southern border of Yonkers. As a graduate of the SUNY system,
awash in downstaters, I would reply that Upstate starts at the northern
borders of Orange and Putnam Counties.  

 

The various other regions, Central New York, Western New York, the North
Country, etc., still apply.
