What with e-mail and cel phones, it's much easier to pin all this 
down than it used to be. I once had a patron tell me "in no uncertain 
terms" that his library back home (halfway across the country) had a 
video copy of "Little Mary Sunshine," and that my library didn't 
amount to much since we didn't have it. I called the library and 
found that not only did they not have that on video, but that they 
never had. :)

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
