POSITION: Patron Education Librarian, #27-144, Online and Outreach
Library, Jefferson County Public Library, Lakewood, Colorado

Located between Denver and the Rocky Mountain foothills, Jefferson

training facilities (23 total computerized stations), enabling patrons
and staff to have a superior educational experience. In 2006 we offered
366 patron education classes and trained more than 2300 citizens.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Library or Information Science and
two years of experience in designing and delivering classroom
instruction.

DUTIES:
Responsible for providing library related technology training programs
to patrons and library staff. The principal assignment involves the
coordination of the library's computer training classes including the
design and delivery of classes, scheduling staff to assist with
training, creation of guides and training manuals, maintaining the
patron education database, evaluation of the instruction program, and
development and analysis of statistical reports. This position assumes
responsibility for the Patron Education web page and teaching staff to
use effective teaching strategies in delivering training. Secondary
assignments include participating in and chairing library meetings,
committees, and task forces, representing the library through public
presentations promoting the Online Library and/or Jefferson County
Public Library, and maintaining an awareness of patron library interests
and usage via scheduled desk times at the libraries. This position
reports to the Online and Outreach Library Manager.

SALARY: Annual $41,000
