How do other public libraries support (and secure) their public blogs? My research hasn't turned up much about the administrative and security aspects of blogging.

Examples of concerns -- 
1. Blogger.com places their toolbar on blogs they host. The "Next blog" link can take your readers to blogs that may be considered unacceptable.
2. Hijacking and spamming of blogs
